For just $30.00 per year, your Bayou State Trail Association membership helps develop, maintain, and grow the Bayou State Trail while connecting you with the people, places, and communities that make the trail possible.
Whether you hike a few miles, dream of completing all 480, volunteer your time, or simply believe in creating and preserving outdoor spaces for generations to come, there is a place for you in the BSTA community!
WHERE YOUR MEMBERSHIP GOES
Your membership directly supports work happening on and around the Bayou State Trail, including trail signage, water caches, equipment, continued trail development, and other needs throughout the trail.
Membership dues support BSTA's work across the trail, with a portion of dues from members who live in districts adjacent to or along the trail remaining in those districts to help support local trail needs, projects, and activities.
Just as importantly, your membership strengthens the community behind the trail, helping BSTA connect hikers, volunteers, supporters, businesses, and communities across Louisiana.

Each year, BSTA members receive a new official member bag tag displaying the current membership year. Clip it to your pack and carry your membership with you as you explore the trail.
